Our client is a NZ political party with an office based in central Auckland. They are gearing up for the general election in October and are searching for a Social Media Manager to join their campaign team. This position will play a crucial role in managing their online presence, crafting compelling content, and leveraging social media platforms to build a strong digital community and drive meaningful conversations around their campaign.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Implementing a strategic social media plan in line with the campaign’s objectives, target audience and key messaging.
- Creating compelling and engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Developing and implementing innovative tactics to grow the campaign’s social media following, increase reach and drive interactions.
- Identifying and engaging with key influencers, community leaders and local organisations to expand reach and build strategic partnerships.
- Monitor and analyse social media analytics to measure effectiveness, track performance and provide data-driven insights for optimization.
Candidates for this role will need:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive content.
- Skills in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Some familiarity with local politics, issues and key stakeholders is a plus.
Candidates will ideally be available to start ASAP, and the contract will run until mid-October.
