Our amazing client – a multidisciplinary design studio – is looking for a driven Senior Designer to join their Tāmaki Makaurau-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a growing team delivering high-profile projects across Aotearoa and abroad.

With a steady stream of diverse mahi, this role focuses on Wayfinding Design and developing large-scale projects locally and internationally. You'll collaborate with studios in Australia and the UK, making this an ideal role for someone ready for a challenge—someone who delivers outstanding work and brings fresh ideas to the table.

You:

• Highly conceptual, with a strong user-centric focus

• Hold a relevant design qualification

• Positive, energetic, and driven

• Detail-oriented and conscientious

• Bring solid senior-level experience

• Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable leading projects

• Excellent communicator – both written and verbal

The role:

• Lead the development of design narratives, strategies, and visual identity

• Create core graphic elements and visual systems

• Produce design documentation, including drawings, schedules, guidelines, and specifications

• Apply design systems across wayfinding and signage schemes

• Develop signage concepts, mapping, and information graphics

• Manage projects through to production

• Collaborate closely with the wider team to integrate strategy and design

On offer:

• A competitive salary (based on experience)

• A centrally located studio close to great amenities

• The chance to grow your career in a studio that values diversity, and creative ambition

• Hybrid working

• Potential travel both locally and internationally

• Long term career progression

You’ll also have the opportunity to work on brand development projects, supporting the growth of this part of the studio’s offering.

Led by a supportive leadership team, you'll be encouraged to shape your path—wherever you want to take it.

A full position description will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

To apply:

You must have senior-level design experience (ideally within studios or agencies) and the right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand. We’ll need to see your latest CV and portfolio of high-level design work.
